It’s not all work, work, work! A big part of the uni experience is meeting new people and having fun. Make this your time to try something different, learn a new skill or push yourself outside your comfort zone! There’s so many opportunities, if you are willing to get involved
CLUBS & SOCIETIES
Do you have a hobby or a skills that you want to share with others? We are looking for enthusiatic students to set up social groups or societies, that create a fun, social experience for like-minded people. You can create your own community, club, or society and share you knowledge and talents with other students! Or if we’ve already got what you’re after, join the club!
GAMING SOCIETY
No matter what you’re into, whether it’s the standard old school board game or mass multiplayer online games, the Gaming Society tries it all. Grab a controller and join us for a number of pick up and play computer games. Various consoles and choices available.
Craft Society
Whether you do crafts all the time or are looking to try something new, UA92 Craft Soc is the place for you. A relaxed and social place away from your academic studies; each session we try a new crafty activity with no knowledge or skill required. Equipment and refreshments are provided and if theres any new crafts you want to try let us know and well make it happen!
Afro CARRIBEAN society
ACS aims to celebrate African and Caribbean culture and provide a comfortable, friendly and enjoyable environment for everyone and anyone to come and partake in.
Dungeons & Dragons
Dungeons and Dragons is our passion and in DnD Society, we meet weekly with other members to start or continue the adventure.
International Society
A place for international students to meet and network. We offer members the opportunity to share their experiences and plan cultural events.
Marketing Society
A new society for 25/26 where members have the opportunity to explore content creation that promotes UA92. All mediums and skill sets welcome.
UA92 IGNITION
UA92 Ignition is a student-led enterprise hub where local Manchester-based businesses can access free business advice and innovative ideas to support their business goals. Business can request support with any project including organising an event, preparing year-end business accounts or developing a business plan. Students get an opportunity to use their knowledge and skills on real-world projects, whilst businesses can get an injection of creativity and resource at no financial cost. It’s a win win!
UA92 4 U
UA92 4 U is a student-led content production group, reporting on all aspect of student life at UA92. Streaming content to their YouTube channels and through their dedicated social media channels, UA92 4 U could use your help if you have a flair for video production, graphics, presenting, reporting or just want to help out the team. Here’s one of their latest productions.
SOCIALS
The Student Experience team offers many on- and off-campus activities, which are great opportunities to take a break, socialise with friends and meet new people. From games nights, pub quizzes, ‘Girls’ Night In’ events and our popular Banksy’s Bingo to activities for the more daring such as Airsoft, Kickair and Go-karting. All social activities are posted on Teams throughout the year so keep an eye out for more information!
SPORTS & FITNESS
Healthy body, healthy mind! Take part in activities from fitness classes to our run club. You don’t have to be a pro, just come with a pair of trainers and have fun – a sure-fire way to boost your energy levels and get blood pumping to your brain!
