MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT
All UA92 students can access mental health support, which may include support to register with a GP, help to access external specialist services, regular mental health check-in appointments and on-going mental health support.
COUNSELLING
All UA92 students can be assessed for short-term counselling sessions provided by UA92’s student counsellors. Counselling is offered to support students with a variety of mental health difficulties, emotional struggles and life challenges, by providing a safe, confidential and judgement free space to talk about whatever feels important to you.
STUDENT SUPPORT WORKSHOPS
Throughout the academic year, we put on a variety of mental health and well-being workshops for UA92 students. These cover a range of topics such as stress, anxiety, confidence and sleep, as well as focusing on common challenges students face throughout their time at university, such as settling in and preparing for the future.
SELF-HELP RESOURCES
You can access lots of useful information on a wide range of topics including physical and mental health, disability, finance and more in our Well-being Resource Bank. This is an ever-growing bank of information, so if you’d like self-help guidance on topics which aren’t in there already, you can let the Student Support Team know as we’re always adding new resources!
24/7 STUDENT ASSISTANCE
Spectrum Life is our student assistance programme, providing all UA92 students with access to free 24/7 support. This includes in the moment support from a qualified counsellor, up to 6 online or telephone counselling sessions, legal and financial information, career guidance, life coaching and health information. It’s free, confidential and can be accessed 24/7

Contemplation Room
Need some you time? Our contemplation room is the perfect space to get some peace and quiet, whether that’s for prayer, meditation or just some time out.
You can find it on the bottom floor, on the left of the entryway.

The contemplation space is open to all UA92 students and is a space is a quiet place for prayer, meditation, reflection, or alone time. It is accessible using your student ID card. There is a contemplation space on bothg the Old Trafford Campus and UA92 Business School. If you need help to find or access this dedicated space, please ask the team on reception.
The Student Support Team can signpost you to other services or make referrals to ensure you get the best possible support.
